We hope you are keeping safe and well and enjoying the wonderful autumn weather with the cool nights and warm days. There are picturesque scenes everywhere with the autumn colours of gold, red, brown, yellow and maroon - all so beautiful.
It was a busy birthday month, with four birthdays; these were for Christine West, Mark Matthews, Josephina Fransen and Nina Taua. Cakes were made in the kitchen and enjoyed and celebrated by all at morning tea. Happy Birthday to you all.
Happy Hour was held on Friday 1st April with a sing-a-long and delicious snacks. Thank you to Ian Birse who has been arranging the sing-a-longs through his computer in the past few months with the music and words coming up on the TV for everyone to take part in, sing along with and enjoy.
Easter was a lovely celebration with pretty decorations, some made by the residents in a craft session and an Easter egg game held on the 14th, Thursday. There were Hot Cross Buns on Friday and an Easter egg for each on the Sunday.
Anzac was acknowledged and remembered quietly too.
Bingo is twice a week, with games mornings, crafts and walks outside to enjoy the last of the summer flowers.
Canine Friends Pet Therapy, religious services and quizzes have been put on hold for the moment as well as the entertainers. Hopefully we can resume these services soon.
Feedback is always welcomed.
Keep well and be safe, until next month,
Regards
Jennifer Slement and all at Brylyn.
