COVID-19 had been our main concern in the month of May – it was probably all we talked about but we coped as life goes on. As this letter has gone out a little late this month, we are now happy to be at stage 1 of the Covid-19 virus!
Our staff have worked hard to keep your loved ones safe whilst trying our utmost to keep ourselves and our families safe at home from too.
Welcome to our new resident, Raymond Matson, who we hope will be happy here with us in his new home.
We are sad to report that Myra Carter passed away. Myra had been with us for a long time and only recently celebrated her 96th Birthday. Our condolences go out to her family.
Happy Birthday to Reginald on the 1st May, Raymond on the 20th May and Thomas on the 28th May. A delicious cake was made by our chef, Lin, to have with everyone here. Bruce and Avril Ogilvie celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on the 7th. Congratulations to both! Again, it was hard for these residents as they were unable to have family and friends come in and celebrate with them due to the lock down.
We made Mother’s Day special for the ladies – they each received a gift of Body Lotion, Soap, a Hairbrush and Chocolates which were well received.
Bingo is very popular with our residents so we would like to thank Ian Birse who does a wonderful job of ‘calling out’ the Bingo twice a week. He enjoys this immensely, as do the residents, and a lot of fun is had by all. Mahi has kept our residents busy with various games, exercises every morning, walks when possible and lovely music.
Keep well everyone and enjoy being out and about,
Regards from all at Brylyn.
