Our van drive on 6th was out to Huntly café and the lake.
On 20th June we had a special event Nepalese lunch which was made by our cook, Pushpa, who is from Nepal with a lot of help from staff and her husband Babu which something new for our residents to try, it turned out to be a lovely occasion. Matariki was celebrated on 28th with entertainment by Tipene with a good selection of New Zealand and Maori music. Most enjoyable.
Our entertainers who come in on the weekends were Roy, Louise, Charlie and Peter. David comes in every Tuesday to do board games and thank you too to David and to Reg and team who conduct our church services.
We have our ‘regulars’ who come in and give their time willingly, we are always grateful to those who help us in any way, who give their services freely to our ‘gem’ of a Rest Home. A very warm thank you to you all.
The winter solstice was on the 21st June, we are now slowly on the down slope to spring, a good thought to keep in our minds to get through winter so keep well and warm everyone, until next month,
