A warm welcome to our short stay respite residents, we hope they have enjoyed their time here with us.
We celebrated 3 birthdays this month, Susan Harvey, Colin Brewer and Annette Coombs. Happy Birthday to each one of you. Cakes were baked and enjoyed by all. We said goodbye to Paula Wright on the 27th as she has gone to live with her son on the South Island – we hope she will be very happy in her new home.
Welcome to our new staff member, Jilsia Raphel, who is a Registered Nurse.
Some of our residents went out for a van drive to Te Whatawhata to enjoy the countryside and have a cup of coffee.
Entertainers who came in this month mostly on Saturday and Sundays were George, Louise, Tame, Charlie, and Roy. For our Happy Hour, Tipene and his wife entertained.
Thank you to the Duncan family for the couch which we have put in the lounge for our residents to enjoy and also to Graeme for his donation of two new roses and for the bark which he has placed in the very large flower bed in the front section of the garden. He has also given this bed a good spruce up. Helen donated roses from her garden which we have planted in various places and thanks also goes to Edith and Wilma for the items they donated. This is all most appreciated.
We have our ‘regulars’ who give their time willingly, we are always grateful for their services.
If there is anyone who would like to offer their time here at Brylyn please pop in or give us a call, perhaps you or someone you know would like to give a talk to our residents on something interesting you have done in your life or in your profession, or even help with an activity - we would love to see you.
It is getting lighter in the early mornings and later in the evenings and this is always a good sign - spring is upon us, not long to have the gardens looking beautiful again, until next month,
Regards from all at Brylyn.
