Hello everyone,
Our birthdays this month were for Mary Robb on the 6th, Janet Walker on 24th and Zena Carr on the 25th.
Happy birthday to our ladies who shared a cake with everyone at morning tea which was made in the kitchen.
We celebrated the Queen’s birthday in the morning on Friday 3rd. It was a ‘high tea’ theme with colours of the British flag and everyone wore crowns made in the craft sessions. Our entertainer was Glen Carley who always gets the residents and staff singing and dancing with his wonderful music.
On Thursday 23rd June we had new entertainers in, Joyce and Danny “World of Music” for a morning Happy Hour for Matariki.
Keeping with the Matariki theme there was fried bread for morning tea on Friday 24th and a boil up of smoked bacon bones with vegetables for lunch.
Bingo is held twice weekly and is always a popular game. We have crafts mornings, games mornings and walks outside, weather permitting.
Canine Friends Pet Therapy, religious services and quizzes have been put on hold for the moment. Hopefully we can resume these services soon. Ian Birse has been dong the quizzes for us which we appreciate and he is our Bingo caller too. Thank you, Ian!
